Job Description

Senior Platform Engineer building automated, secure cloud platforms for DoiT, a global cloud technology company. Managing GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evolve foundational software and services for product and development teams
  • Collaborate with peers through code reviews, mentorship, and unified platform direction
  • Support feature teams and facilitate adoption of platform features
  • Architect, design, and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Deploy, configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize Kubernetes clusters on GCP GKE and AWS EKS
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD systems using tools such as Argo CD or Atlantis
  • Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and security issues
  • Create incident response plans and post-mortem analyses
  • Drive automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational workflows
  • Partner with development teams to understand infrastructure and developer experience needs
  • Develop internal platform tools, APIs, and services across the software development lifecycle
  • Implement security controls, vulnerability management, encryption, compliance, security audits, and penetration testing

Requirements:

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals with proven hands-on coding experience
  • 6+ years of proven experience in platform engineering, DevOps engineering, or related roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP/AWS, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), and Terraform
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure
  • Coding proficiency in Go or Typescript (or other relevant languages), including data structures, algorithms, and defensive programming
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Argo CD, Atlantis, or similar technologies
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Extensive experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed team environment
  • Prior experience working specifically on platform engineering projects
