Job Description

Senior project manager delivering Smart Grid software for VENIOS, which digitizes and monitors energy networks in real time. Coordinating implementations, stakeholders, budgets, testing, and digital-twin solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, plan, and deliver strategic IT projects in the Smart Grid sector, from commissioning through to go-live
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders and coordinate all project phases
  • Monitor timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Ensure the integration of Venios.NET into existing IT environments
  • Collaborate with development teams, customer departments, and external service providers
  • Support testing and the rollout of new features
  • Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation measures
  • Identify customer needs and contribute new ideas for the further development of Venios.NET
  • Coordinate occasional on-site visits to customers or the headquarters in Frankfurt

Requirements:

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification with demonstrable knowledge of electrical engineering
  • Comfortable working with technical regulations, legislation, and contracts
  • Several years of project management experience implementing software projects, ideally in the energy sector
  • IPMA certification or a comparable project management certification is desirable, or willingness to obtain one
  • Several years of experience in the development and operation of electrical distribution networks is an advantage
  • Strong IT expertise and an affinity for software development
  • Structured, analytical, and goal-oriented approach to work
  • Empathetic, audience-appropriate, and confident communication, with the ability to manage conflict constructively
  • Confident and persuasive manner
  • Action-oriented, resilient, solutions-focused, and highly tolerant of frustration
  • Team player who enjoys driving and embracing change
  • Good English and excellent German language skills
  • Residence in, or valid work authorization for, Germany or Austria
