Job Description

Senior Property Accountant managing multi-entity fund accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. Adapting QuickBooks Enterprise Online and Excel for fund tracking, allocations, and audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete monthly bank reconciliations across all entities, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare, record, and review journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and adjusting entries.
  • Manage transactional accounting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of receipts, disbursements, and intercompany activity.
  • Own the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and variance review.
  • Process fund distributions and calculate management fees in line with governing documents.
  • Maintain accounting across multi-entity fund structures, building fund-specific workflows in QuickBooks using sub-accounts and classes.
  • Build and maintain Excel models to support manual allocations and reconciliations alongside QuickBooks.
  • Support annual fund audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor requests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and support accurate reporting.
  • Handle sensitive financial and investor information with discretion.
  • Assist with other accounting projects and ad hoc requests as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with distribution processing and management fee calculations.
  • Experience accounting for multi-entity fund structures.
  • Strong working proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Online, including configuring sub-accounts and classes for fund-level tracking.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including building allocation and reconciliation models.
  • Experience supporting fund audits.
  • Solid command of bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.
  • Demonstrated discretion with confidential financial and investor data.
  • Active CPA (or similar local) license.
