Job Description
Lead QA Automation Engineer at LighthouseAI focused on software quality initiatives and automation frameworks. Manage and mentor a team of engineers in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and coordinate the overall automation test strategy based on test plans
- Lead the design, development, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts and frameworks
- Manage, mentor, and guide junior QA automation engineers
- Drive the adoption of QA best practices and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to triage bugs and manage the defect lifecycle
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in QA automation or as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, Playwright or similar)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL)
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
