Job Description
Senior QA Engineer testing hardware, software, and ServiceNow SAM Pro/HAM solutions. Supporting Accelera Solutions’ Department of the Air Force enterprise IT program.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product, development, and IT teams to understand hardware/software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Design, develop, and execute end-to-end test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews
- Perform functional, performance, reliability, and compatibility testing on hardware asset-management functions and workflows
- Validate automated and manually maintained hardware-asset data
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and user-acceptance testing for software asset-management functionality
- Identify, analyze, document, and manage defects through their lifecycle
- Validate ServiceNow SAM Pro software discovery, reconciliation, license compliance, entitlement management, contracts, usage data, and reporting
- Validate ServiceNow HAM hardware-asset lifecycle, data accuracy, and integrations with procurement, CMDB, and discovery tools
- Verify data integrity across SAM Pro, HAM, and CMDB
- Test custom ServiceNow ITAM workflows, reports, and integrations
- Use Jira or ServiceNow ITSM to track defects
- Generate test reports on progress, defect status, and product quality
- Contribute to automated test scripts, frameworks, and CI/CD integration
Requirements:
- Active DoD secret clearance
- 10+ years of relevant experience (a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Software/Hardware Testing roles
- Hands-on experience testing both hardware and software systems
- Minimum 2 years of dedicated ServiceNow testing experience, including SAM Pro and HAM modules
- Strong understanding of IT Asset Management principles and best practices
- Expertise in functional, non-functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT methodologies
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- Proficiency with Jira or ServiceNow ITSM
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, attention-to-detail, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Desired: ServiceNow CIS-SAM, CIS-HAM, or CSA certifications; ITIL Foundation certification; test automation tools/frameworks; Python, Selenium, Robot Framework, Postman/Newman; JavaScript, Python, PowerShell; database concepts and SQL; prior government contracting experience
