Job Description
Scrum Master facilitating Agile practices within user journey-aligned pods at Quility Insurance. Leading teams for high-quality delivery in a fast-paced Insurtech setup.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement) with consistency and intentionality
- Coach teams on Agile and SAFe principles, continuously improving delivery practices and team accountability
- Partner closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog items are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for execution
- Proactively identify and escalate risks and roadblocks before they impact delivery - owning resolution rather than waiting for direction
- Track and surface team progress, risks, and impediments to stakeholders and leadership with transparency and regularity
- Support PI Planning participation, including capacity input, dependency identification, and commitment tracking
- Maintain accurate capacity data and flag resourcing constraints early to enable proactive planning decisions
- Create and maintain project plans, sprint-level timelines, and status documentation in Confluence
- Collaborate with team on Jira hygiene within your pod(s) - ensuring tickets are appropriately structured, updated, and reflective of actual work in flight
- Manage complex cross-pod and cross-functional dependencies (particularly those where Core Framework work is a blocker or enabler for other product pods) ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
- Step into an active delivery environment quickly, establishing trust and cadence with an established team
- Ensure cross-pod and cross-functional alignment, particularly where dependencies touch Finance, Engineering, or Portfolio Operations
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role, preferably within a product-led or technology organization
- CSM certification required; SAFe certification strongly preferred
- PMP or equivalent project management background preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Prior experience with technology or SaaS companies
