Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building Unity’s Android platform support across mobile, laptop, and hybrid devices. Optimizing runtime performance and enabling seamless game deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop features and workflows in the Unity Editor supporting specific Android platform configurations
- Profile, analyze, and identify optimization opportunities across the technology stack
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement runtime and platform optimization solutions
- Establish performance benchmarks and conduct rigorous Unity Engine performance analyses
- Author comprehensive technical documentation
- Participate actively in design review processes
- Investigate and resolve bug reports to ensure platform stability
- Improve quality and delivery through automated testing and thoughtful code reviews
- Foster innovation, teamwork, and technical excellence
Requirements:
- Solid background in Android systems programming
- Advanced proficiency in C++, C#, and Java/Kotlin
- Experience building and maintaining platform or runtime systems
- Solid understanding of large applications spanning multiple languages, including synchronous/asynchronous calls, memory ownership, and marshalling
- Experience designing and implementing scalable feature sets in a large multithreaded codebase
- Strong diagnostic, debugging, and performance-profiling skills
- Familiarity with real-time 3D rendering methodologies and modern graphics APIs, including Vulkan
- Sufficient English proficiency for professional verbal and written communication
- Proven track record of writing high-quality software at scale
