Job Description

Senior Software Engineer building Glia’s low-latency, trustworthy voice AI framework for banks and credit unions. Designing agentic runtime architecture, LLM guardrails, and real-time conversational systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and ship the core agentic voice AI framework, including conversation orchestration, tool calling, and runtime architecture
  • Build and evolve harness controls such as guardrails, grounding, policy checks, and evaluation for trustworthy banking LLM agents
  • Profile, measure, and optimize latency across every stage of the real-time voice pipeline
  • Unify runtime architecture and remove configuration friction so new banking use cases can launch quickly
  • Maintain stability and reliability of existing production systems
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams across Europe and Vancouver to turn ambiguous problems into shipped outcomes
  • Use AI-assisted development tools daily and help establish standards for reviewing and verifying agent-generated code
  • Set direction, unblock people, and raise engineering standards without micromanaging

Requirements:

  • Production experience building AI systems
  • Strong understanding of LLM architecture, including prompting and context management, tool use and agentic flows, retrieval and grounding, evaluation, and latency/cost/quality tradeoffs
  • Real-time or voice AI experience is a strong plus
  • Experience with agent SDKs such as the Claude Agent SDK or OpenAI Agents SDK is a strong plus
  • Ability to design complex components, make sound technical tradeoffs, and identify risks early
  • Track record of fast, reliable delivery and owning quality, including verifying agent-generated code
  • Active use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude
  • Proactive approach to identifying problems, partnering with PMs, proposing solutions, and driving delivery
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, tools, and AI technologies
  • Strong learning ability and willingness to learn unfamiliar tools and practices
  • Clear written and verbal communication and ability to work effectively on a distributed team
  • Ability to overlap at least 2 hours daily with Pacific Time, 9:00–11:00 AM PT
  • Leadership instincts; prior tech lead, team lead, or mentorship experience is ideally preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, as stated in the application question
  • Experience creating or maintaining production applications using TypeScript, as stated in the application question
  • Professional experience with the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem, including frameworks and related technologies
  • Experience leading projects requiring collaboration with multiple stakeholders, as stated in the application question
  • Experience making or heavily influencing significant technical or architectural decisions on complex projects, as stated in the application question
  • Ability to work lawfully in Poland without unauthorized employment, as stated in the application form
