Job Description
Staff Engineer architecting and productionizing scalable GenAI and Agentic AI solutions for Nagarro’s digital product engineering services. Building Python/FastAPI systems across Azure and AWS.
Responsibilities:
- Understand client business use cases and technical requirements and convert them into technical designs
- Map decisions to requirements and translate them for developers
- Identify and narrow down solution options that meet client requirements
- Define guidelines and benchmarks for non-functional requirements during implementation
- Write and review design documents covering application architecture, frameworks, and high-level design
- Review architecture and design for extensibility, scalability, security, design patterns, user experience, and non-functional requirements
- Develop and design complete solutions for functional and non-functional requirements
- Define technologies, patterns, and frameworks for implementation
- Apply technology integration learnings to projects
- Resolve code and review issues through systematic root-cause analysis
- Carry out proofs of concept to validate proposed designs and technologies
- Architect and implement scalable GenAI and Agentic AI solutions end-to-end
- Collaborate across product and engineering teams to convert business needs into AI-driven solutions
- Productionize AI systems on Azure or AWS
- Build and expose FastAPI APIs integrated with databases through an ORM
- Scale GenAI solutions to support enterprise workloads
Requirements:
- Total experience: 6+ years
- Deep understanding of LLMs and Transformer architectures
- Expert-level prompt engineering skills and proven experience implementing RAG patterns
- High proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries including LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, LangSmith, Hugging Face Transformers, Scikit-learn, and PyTorch/TensorFlow
- Experience with RAG architectures and prompt engineering
- Strong experience with fine-tuning, distillation, and evaluation techniques
- Strong experience using managed AI/ML services such as Azure Machine Learning Studio or AI Foundry
- Strong understanding of vector databases such as Weaviate and Neo4j
- Understanding of GenAI evaluation metrics including BLEU, ROUGE, perplexity, semantic similarity, and human evaluation
- Production-ready Python coding, testing, and maintainability practices
- Experience productionizing AI systems on Azure or AWS
- Experience building APIs with FastAPI and integrating databases through an ORM
- Experience scaling GenAI solutions for enterprise workloads
- Proven production experience with GenAI deployments on Azure or AWS
- Strong experience scaling AI solutions in live environments
- Very strong Python programming skills with a record of clean, efficient, maintainable code
- Successfully delivered at least one production GenAI/Agentic AI solution
- Proficiency with FastAPI and at least one ORM, such as SQLAlchemy or Tortoise ORM
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Contributions to open-source GenAI projects
- Experience with React or another JavaScript framework is good to have
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
