Job Description
Senior Software Engineer responsible for building features and solving scaling problems at easybill. Develop PHP, TypeScript, and Node.js solutions in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities:
- develop new features
- solve scaling problems
- take responsibility for entire projects – from concept to operation
- implement backend features using PHP 8.x and Symfony
- work on the frontend with TypeScript, React and TanStack
- develop Node.js services with TypeScript and Next.js
- develop JVM microservices with Java and Kotlin
- perform root cause analysis and debugging
- use AI as a productivity lever
- maintain infrastructure and local dockerized development environments
Requirements:
- deep PHP/Symfony experience
- experience with TypeScript
- knowledge of Node.js
- high degree of ownership in software development at a senior level
- confident use of relational databases such as MySQL
- experience with Java and Kotlin (desirable)
- bonus: experience with Node.js, data structures & algorithms, distributed systems, and data-intensive applications
- bonus: open-source contributions or public experiments on GitHub
- fluent German and good English skills
