Job Description

Senior Software Engineer responsible for building features and solving scaling problems at easybill. Develop PHP, TypeScript, and Node.js solutions in a remote-first environment.

Responsibilities:

  • develop new features
  • solve scaling problems
  • take responsibility for entire projects – from concept to operation
  • implement backend features using PHP 8.x and Symfony
  • work on the frontend with TypeScript, React and TanStack
  • develop Node.js services with TypeScript and Next.js
  • develop JVM microservices with Java and Kotlin
  • perform root cause analysis and debugging
  • use AI as a productivity lever
  • maintain infrastructure and local dockerized development environments

Requirements:

  • deep PHP/Symfony experience
  • experience with TypeScript
  • knowledge of Node.js
  • high degree of ownership in software development at a senior level
  • confident use of relational databases such as MySQL
  • experience with Java and Kotlin (desirable)
  • bonus: experience with Node.js, data structures & algorithms, distributed systems, and data-intensive applications
  • bonus: open-source contributions or public experiments on GitHub
  • fluent German and good English skills
