Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building secure, scalable Java/AWS platform services for Anvilogic’s AI cybersecurity platform. Supporting authentication, customer data connections, permissions, and enterprise reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate platform services forming the foundation of Anvilogic's application
- Work on systems that authenticate users, connect securely to customers' data stores, and manage groups, roles, and permissions
- Build and design the next generation of Anvilogic products for company and customer growth
- Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
- Work with product management to define non-functional requirements and implement them in services
- Collaborate with company stakeholders to build large-scale features and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
- Share platform and security best practices through mentorship, documentation, and brown bag sessions
Requirements:
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Professional experience developing in Java
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with AWS, relational databases like Postgres/MySQL, and big data pipelines such as Kafka and/or Kinesis
- Experience defining non-functional requirements, measuring SLOs, and balancing tech foundation and product timelines
- Ability to quickly come up to speed on the platform tech stack, using Java deployed on AWS
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS systems for enterprise customers
- Experience deploying services using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, AWS SAM, CloudFormation, or CDK)
- Experience with observability technologies like Grafana and AWS CloudTrail
- Working knowledge of data lakes (Snowflake, Databricks)
- Some experience with LLMs, implementing standard patterns (Agents, RAG, Tools), and leveraging popular frameworks
- Knowledge of Scala/Python
