Job Description

Senior Software Engineer in Test focusing on mobile, collaborating with developers and driving quality improvements at InPost Group in Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Take a proactive role in identifying and addressing issues early, driving continuous quality improvements and taking full ownership of tasks and outcomes.
  • Promote and apply a shift-left testing approach, collaborating with developers during feature design and implementation to define test strategies, identify potential issues early, and ensure testability of new functionality.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using programming/scripting languages and automation tools.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
  • Prepare and maintain test users and test data using internal tools and APIs.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline so that they run automatically as part of the build and deployment process; design and implement effective CI/CD testing strategies.
  • Implement data-driven testing approaches where applicable.
  • Develop automated tests for complex scenarios, including API, performance, security, integration, mobile, and snapshot/screenshot testing.
  • Identify gaps in coverage and proactively address them.
  • Analyze test results and generate reports on execution and defect trends.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced Software Engineers in Test, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Work closely with developers, manual QA testers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the testing process.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and manage testing in environments with complex interdependencies between systems and features.
  • Define, monitor, and improve quality metrics such as test coverage, defect leakage, and automation stability.
  • Continuously improve test effectiveness by analyzing test results and production incidents.
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to enhance QA capabilities.
  • Support and perform manual testing when needed, especially for exploratory, regression, or visual validation scenarios.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in software test automation, with proven skills in scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript).
  • Experience in mobile test automation and snapshot/screenshot testing frameworks/tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and automation best practices; proficiency with test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, WebdriverIO, RestAssured).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Fluent in English and Polish.
