Job Description

Senior Marine Structural Engineer in Canada managing and delivering marine infrastructure projects while leading and collaborating with team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver marine infrastructure projects for clients
  • Liaise with Clients on existing projects and pursuing new project opportunities
  • Provide leadership and direction to Junior Engineers and/or Technicians
  • Work collaboratively to assist other project team members
  • Analyze and design of marine structures
  • Preparation of technical specifications and tender documents
  • Development of conceptual options and preliminary designs
  • Coordinate drawing development with other technical staff
  • Review project documentation for clarity, accuracy, and compliance
  • Manage project scope, schedule, finances, and conduct site inspections

Requirements:

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC; registration in any other Canadian province is considered an asset
  • PE licensure in the United States is also highly desirable
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in design of marine infrastructure
  • Familiar with marine design codes, standards, and structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000 or similar
  • Functional understanding of typical marine design considerations for steel and concrete structures, soil/structure interaction and marine environmental loading
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication.
