Job Description
Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst prioritizing threats and vulnerabilities for Expel’s managed detection and response customers. Producing intelligence reports and guiding SOC analysts on emerging cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor OSINT, dark web forums, proprietary feeds, and internal sources to identify and evaluate potential cyber threats
- Review MDR security incidents to identify root causes and vulnerabilities exploited in real-world attacks
- Participate in threat intelligence sharing communities and forums
- Analyze threat data and vulnerability scans to assess cyber-threat impact and likelihood and prioritize critical vulnerabilities for customers
- Produce threat intelligence reports containing IOCs, TTPs, and mitigation strategies
- Combine external threat feeds with root-cause analysis to provide insight into actively targeted vulnerabilities
- Improve threat intelligence processes, tools, and methodologies
- Act as a subject-matter expert on current and emerging threats for Phishing and MDR analysts
- Support client inquiries and understanding of cyber threats
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of professional experience in security operations, incident response, or vulnerability management
- Proven conflict management and verbal and written communication skills
- Effective project and time management skills
- Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
- Solid knowledge of common cyber threat vectors, tools, techniques, and procedures used by threat actors
- Ability to conduct detailed incident reviews identifying root causes and vulnerabilities exploited in real-world cyberattacks
- Understanding of malware analysis reports from automated malware-analysis sandboxes
- Experience in technical writing for broad and diverse audiences
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Expel does not sponsor immigration visas
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
