Job Description
SOC Analyst investigating security alerts, malware, and incidents for Cynet’s AI-powered threat detection platform. Performing threat hunting, digital forensics, and incident response for global customers.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate security alerts from the Cynet platform to detect threats and support live incident response engagements
- Analyze suspicious programs and software using relevant tools to identify threats and classify malware
- Produce malware analysis reports
- Identify threats affecting global customers through advanced threat hunting services that complement standard Security Operations Center services
- Perform analysis and forensics on security threats, malware, and attacks in the wild using industry-standard platforms and tools
Requirements:
- Previous experience performing incident response in a Security Operations Center or an equivalent cybersecurity organization
- Hands-on experience with host and network digital forensics
- Strong knowledge of incident response, digital forensics, and cyber threat hunting
- Expertise in identifying the tactics, techniques, and procedures used by threat actors
- Familiarity with malware analysis
- Ability to coordinate assignments within a team and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Hands-on experience with at least one programming language
- Experience monitoring EDR, XDR, or SIEM solutions is an advantage
- 1+ year of technical experience within the network, IT, or cyber security domains
- Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, including HTTP and DNS
- Hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Ability to understand and learn complex technological systems and identify critical areas
- Exceptional analytical skills, creative out-of-the-box thinking, analytical mindset with research orientation
- Strong presentations and training skills
- Experience in operating security tools, including FW, IDS, SIEM, and endpoint protection
- Working as an analyst in a Cyber SOC is an advantage
- Experience in exposing and exploiting vulnerabilities is an advantage
