Job Description

Software Developer (IC1) at ClassLink developing cloud-based solutions and working in a collaborative Agile environment. Involves building APIs, applications, and ensuring software quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum engineering environment and deliver incremental product software with high quality.
  • Build and write effective APIs and Applications that support the digital services ClassLink delivers
  • Use unit and integration testing to ensure systems meet business needs
  • Ship software that impacts the lives of millions of users
  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Focus on continual security and data protection throughout all development work
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
  • Write technical documentation
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years experience
  • Develop skills in the full development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and documentation
  • Be familiar with at least one imperative (For example: C/C++, Java, Javascript, C#, Python, Ruby, etc)
  • Understand basic control structures and elements of programs like loops, variables, functions and potentially objects and classes.
  • Understanding of best practices surrounding web technologies, such as HTML page structure and CSS formatting
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar degree preferred.
  • It would be great if you have or are pursuing the following: We prefer that you have experience with: Google Suite, MS Office Suite, JIRA and Confluence, GIT
