Job Description

Back-end engineer building scalable AI orchestration services and real-time infrastructure for Superhuman’s productivity platform. Collaborating across product teams to deliver reliable AI-powered features.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and operate high-throughput production services powering AI agent orchestration, connector integrations, and real-time data pipelines
  • Design and build core platform services to scale systems
  • Work across the Superhuman product suite, including Go, Mail, Docs, and Enterprise
  • Collaborate with ML/AI, Product, and Front-End engineers to ship AI-powered features end to end
  • Build and evolve infrastructure as code for high availability across consumer and enterprise customers
  • Contribute to an engineering culture emphasizing documentation, testing, and reliability
  • Mentor and grow junior engineers

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of back-end development experience
  • Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design
  • Experience building, deploying, and debugging production systems at scale
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure
  • Fluency with AI coding tools including Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code
  • Experience with real-time systems, event-driven architectures, or high-throughput API design is a plus
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure as code
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities across multiple projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong product instincts and ability to balance speed and reliability
  • Must be authorized to be employed in Canada
  • Must not require visa sponsorship to continue working in Canada
