Job Description
Backend engineer building cloud tooling that accelerates customer implementations for VibeIQ’s digital product collaboration platform. Owning scalable infrastructure features from design through deployment and monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and ship tooling that makes customer implementation faster and cheaper
- Work in tight iteration loops with the Product Manager, taking loosely specified problems from idea to shipped software
- Drive quality, reliability, and scalability improvements across infrastructure
- Own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring
- Uphold and evolve software engineering standards, including code quality, testing, CI/CD, and security practices
- Collaborate with teams across VibeIQ to improve the product, architecture, and engineering practices
- Collaborate with product managers, core platform engineers, and internal and external stakeholders to shape the implementation experience
- Contribute to platform ownership, including multi-tenant event orchestration and durable, scalable data ingestion
Requirements:
- Roughly 4+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience
- Experience preferably in cloud-based environments such as AWS
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3
- Ability to architect scalable, maintainable backend systems, ideally using Node.js or TypeScript
- Strong problem-solving skills across distributed systems
- Ability to research problems, weigh approaches, and design complex solutions
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly ramp in unfamiliar technical domains
- Excellent written communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and external stakeholders
- Use of agentic coding tools as a core part of building and shipping software
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
- Bonus: experience building products integrated with AI agents, including MCP servers and agent-driven workflows
- Bonus: experience building developer tools such as internal platforms, CLIs, SDKs, or extension systems
- Bonus: exposure to event-driven architectures, including DynamoDB streams and SQS/Lambda patterns
- Bonus: exposure to observability tooling and practices, including OpenTelemetry
- Bonus: small-team or early-stage experience with broad scope and ownership
