Job Description
Full-Stack Software Engineer building and scaling internal tools for a profitable fintech startup. Collaborating with teams to enhance customer operations and integrate low-code solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain internal tools and admin applications that support customer operations, finance, compliance, and client services at scale.
- Own and evolve our internal admin portal as our customer base and operational complexity grow.
- Build full-stack internal applications using low-code and no-code platforms (e.g., Retool, Appsmith), integrating with APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
- Work closely with operations, support, finance, and product teams to turn business processes into reliable, easy-to-use internal tools.
- Enable non-technical teams through reusable components, well-structured workflows, and maintainable systems.
- Improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and correctness through thoughtful UX and automation.
- Collaborate with backend and platform engineers to ensure internal tools are secure, scalable, and aligned with core systems.
- Participate in planning and prioritization of internal tooling.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building internal tools, admin portals, or business systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience with low-code / no-code platforms such as Retool, Appsmith, or similar.
- Comfort working across the Python/Django stack, including APIs, databases, authentication, and UI design.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and backend services.
- Strong understanding of business workflows and how to design for speed and reliability.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to take tools from concept to production.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with non-technical partners.
