Job Description

Software Engineer building IAM products for Twilio, a communications platform serving businesses and developers worldwide. Developing secure authentication and authorization features with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and cloud systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth application performance
  • Own and operate high-scale cloud-based systems and services
  • Document technical specifications and procedures
  • Manage work using GitHub, Jira, and build/deploy systems
  • Build IAM products and features providing secure authentication and authorization experiences

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer science related field as a minimum requirement
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Software developer/Frontend developer
  • Strong understanding of React, TypeScript, and the general frontend ecosystem
  • Solid experience with HTML, CSS, and object-oriented JavaScript
  • Strong experience with GraphQL
  • Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization
  • Experience debugging problems across systems/repositories and designing solutions spanning the whole stack
  • Experience with modern testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Mocha, or Chai
  • Knowledge of OpenAPI specification, API integration, and RESTful API concepts
  • Exposure to front-end build tools
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in small, collaborative, energetic teams
  • Desired: experience with Agile/Scrum, Git, accessibility and SEO best practices, SASS or LESS, Figma, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
