Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building scalable backend services and frontend features for WorkMotion’s global talent operations platform. Contributing to architecture, reliability, and high-quality software delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services
- Contribute to frontend features where required
- Build high-quality, well-tested software following modern engineering and DevOps best practices
- Contribute to architecture, system design, and technical decision-making across the platform
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Review code and mentor teammates
- Continuously improve engineering standards
- Troubleshoot production issues
- Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability
- Help build technology powering the Talent Operations platform and global hiring and talent lifecycle operations
Requirements:
- 5–6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus and frontend exposure
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, Microservices, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS
- Experience designing scalable systems and distributed architectures
- Daily experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code
- Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD), software engineering best practices, and clean code principles
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Bonus: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Bonus: Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
- Bonus: Experience building highly scalable SaaS platforms
