Job Description
Sourcing Representative growing inbound used-container materials for Mauser Packaging Solutions. Building vendor relationships and sourcing strategies to support reconditioning and resale operations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound raw material
- Make daily sourcing calls from multiple sourcing options
- Understand and monitor pricing and competitive market conditions affecting sourcing
- Build, influence, and manage internal relationships to achieve sourcing objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and raw material sources
- Use available systems and programs to provide actionable data and reports to field teams and management
- Source and grow inbound flows of used steel drums, poly drums, and Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs)
- Implement sourcing strategies while remaining competitive, customer focused, and improving market share
- Collaborate with sourcing, customer service, sales, and logistics groups
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of customer service or sales experience required
- Strong relationship building skills, tenacity and sales bias
- Action orientated and able to execute quickly
- Customer focused (internal and external)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create buy-in from generators
- Ability to effectively present information
- Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
- Above-average computer skills, including Excel
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Strong work ethic
- Strong team orientation and ability to work collaboratively
- Personal drive, self-motivation, and initiative to meet all deadlines
