Job Description
Spanish Localization QA Tester proofreading and evaluating localized content for Welocalize, an AI-enabled multilingual content solutions company. Testing products, reporting bugs, and verifying fixes.
Responsibilities:
- Review and refine localized Spanish content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, formatting, and cultural or contextual accuracy
- Execute test cases on products
- Identify localization and functional bugs
- Report bugs and errors through internal and client-specific bug-tracking systems
- Verify that fixes have been implemented correctly
- Translate content from English into Spanish when needed
- Explore user interfaces to identify localization or functional issues
- Evaluate translations in software, mobile apps, and documentation
- Act as a subject matter expert for Spanish linguistic issues
- Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, checklists, and glossaries
- Troubleshoot basic problems and escalate testing issues
- Complete assigned tasks accurately, timely, and to a high standard
Requirements:
- Native-level Spanish fluency
- Native language skills in Spanish and cultural awareness of Spain
- Good oral and written communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized with a commitment to quality
- Ability to understand and prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently
- Ability to accurately follow testing instructions and test cases
- Ability to research and resolve linguistic questions in Spanish from Spain
- Ability to adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, checklists, and glossaries
- Ability to troubleshoot basic problems, communicate effectively, and escalate testing issues
- Background in Marketing, Journalism, Copy Editing, Proofreading, Writing, Translation, and/or Localization is ideal
