Job Description
Staff Data Scientist at PandaDoc driving data insights for product, finance, and engineering. Leading experimentation efforts to enhance data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior analytical leader, embedding yourself deeply in our product and business data
- Own the advancement of our experimentation capabilities
- Train other analysts and data scientists on causal methodologies
- Collaborate as a strategic thought partner to various departments
- Define, champion, and execute a strategic roadmap for measuring impact
- Design, implement, and rigorously analyze complex A/B tests
- Apply advanced causal inference techniques to scenarios where RCTs are infeasible
- Conduct complex, proactive, and exploratory analysis
- Define, instrument, and govern a unified Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework
- Partner with Data Engineering to design and build scalable experimentation tooling
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for junior and mid-level data scientists
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional experience in an applied data science, economics, or product analytics role
- A.B. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (preferred, but not required)
- Demonstrated expertise in applying a wide range of Causal Inference methods
- Expertise in advanced statistical methodologies for A/B testing
- Mastery of advanced statistical modeling, time-series analysis, and quantitative methods
- Advanced proficiency in Python or R
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL
- Experience with data transformation and workflow management tools (strong plus)
