Job Description

Staff Security Engineer leading proactive security services, infrastructure protection, and secure engineering paths at DoorDash. Building resilient products for the technology and logistics company’s delivery network.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and operation of security services within DoorDash’s Product and Cloud Security domains
  • Build and maintain core security products, including Remote Access Management, Secrets Management, Tokenization, Knowledge Graphs, and Access Control at DoorDash scale
  • Partner with Core Infrastructure, Product Engineering, Legal, Security teams, and vendor partners to build secure “paved paths”
  • Provide actionable feedback to embed secure design practices into product and infrastructure development
  • Lead the technical direction and roadmap for the assigned area of ownership
  • Build and maintain operational excellence standards to minimize downtime
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond promptly to on-call events
  • Manage security product feature requests and improvements through triage, validation, design, testing, and implementation
  • Drive improvements to engineering standards and leverage LLM advancements to improve productivity and velocity
  • Mentor and coach earlier-career engineers

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer in an information security or infrastructure engineering discipline
  • Track record of driving improvements to a company’s infrastructure security posture
  • Breadth of technical experience across various infrastructure and security areas in large production environments
  • Highly skilled in distributed systems and platform development using Java, Scala, Kotlin, or Golang
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform
  • Expertise with cloud infrastructure and management in AWS and GCP
  • Experience solving complex, systemic issues requiring creative thinking and solutions
  • Exceptional analytical and investigative abilities
  • Hands-on experience leading root cause analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reviewing design documents with cloud infrastructure, security, and engineering personnel
