Job Description
Structural Engineer III responsible for structural engineering tasks in Civil and Electrical projects. Collaborating with engineers and subcontractors to ensure project compliance and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural engineering tasks for Civil and Electrical construction projects
- Work in close contact with other structural engineers
- Conduct field surveys and studies to provide practical, cost-effective solutions
- Operate design software and prepare technical drawings/specifications
- Provide guidance to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and requirements
- Inspect completed installations for conformance
- Perform detailed calculations to establish construction standards/specifications
- Review and provide feedback on 3rd party structural designs
- Proactively provide guidance to junior engineers and designers
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis
- Active PE License required
- 8 years of experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD, RISA-3D, RISA-Connection, Revit, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Building Analysis and Design Software for concrete, steel, wood, plastics such as Advance Steel
- Ability to apply principles of mechanics, mathematics, physics, material science, 3D concepts to creative problem-solving
