Job Description

Subject Matter Expert providing engineering and architecture support for secure network environments. Ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity and security strategies for Treasury/IRS ENISE program.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior-level engineering and architecture support for secure network environments within enterprise and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Develop, enhance, and validate secure network architecture designs aligned with federal security standards and program requirements.
  • Recommend and implement network security controls, including boundary protection, segmentation, monitoring, and cybersecurity hardening techniques.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, engineering working groups, and security architecture discussions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design artifacts, diagrams, standards, and integration plans.
  • Assist stakeholders in planning and executing secure integration of new technologies or capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between network architecture and overall cybersecurity strategies.
  • Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for security improvement across network environments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Public Trust (MBI) clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in network engineering, network architecture, or network security.
  • Active CISSP certification.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, secure routing/switching, and cloud-based network security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of network security best practices, federal cybersecurity standards, and secure system design principles.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting Treasury or IRS programs.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles and implementation strategies.
  • Experience in hybrid (on-prem/cloud) environments such as AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
