Job Description

Systems analyst and tester supporting Koniag Government Services’ federal client modernization project. Testing an AI-enabled application through automation, API validation, Agile collaboration, and defect management.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and system requirements to support application development and testing
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, including TDD/BDD, Keyword, POM, Hybrid, and Selenium frameworks
  • Develop, document, and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, JMeter, and POSTMAN for API testing
  • Execute functional, regression, performance, and security testing
  • Develop reusable test tools and mock test frameworks for API and automated testing
  • Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution
  • Generate detailed defect analyses with proposed solutions
  • Perform data validation and functional application testing
  • Coordinate testing scope with project managers, system analysts, and scrum masters
  • Apply test measurements and metrics to isolate, replicate, and report defects
  • Support User Acceptance Testing and verify solutions meet business needs
  • Document business requirements, specifications, use cases, and user stories
  • Coordinate testing activities and data collection with internal and external customers
  • Generate, present, and distribute test results reports with recommendations
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Assist with backlog grooming and ensure user stories meet acceptance criteria
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and results to project leadership and stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement across development and testing processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in systems management lifecycle or Agile methodology
  • 3+ years of hands-on software testing experience, including web application testing
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies, including unit, functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases for web-based applications
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or JMeter
  • Experience with RESTful service architecture and API testing, such as POSTMAN
  • Experience with Modern React, NodeJS, Jest, Mocha, Chai, TypeScript, Cypress, or Puppeteer
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps / Test Plans, including epics, features, user stories, tasks, and bug tracking
  • Understanding of web-based enterprise software, .NET Framework, C#, JavaScript, and databases
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Experience writing and documenting business requirements, BRS, use cases, and user stories
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Working knowledge of database systems and SQL
  • Ability to obtain a DOI Public Trust Moderate Clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or hold an Employment Authorization Document with at least 3 years of consistent U.S. residency
  • Preferred: Experience with Azure DevOps or similar requirements and tracking tools
  • Preferred: Experience with T-SQL and Azure databases, including Cosmos, SQL Server, and MySQL
  • Preferred: Experience with production testing in live environments
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Selenium, PowerShell, .NET Core, and HTML
  • Preferred: Familiarity with IEEE, ITIL, or CMMI
  • Preferred: Experience with Git, TFVC, Codebeamer, or Subversion
  • Preferred: Familiarity with data modeling concepts
  • Preferred: Experience integrating COTS and custom software in enterprise solutions
  • Preferred: Experience with data warehouse projects
  • Preferred: Experience with Azure Cognitive Search, Elastic Search, or Solr
  • Preferred: Experience with AI/machine learning document enrichment projects
  • Preferred: Familiarity with formalized testing or requirements traceability practices
