Job Description

Systems Configuration Analyst improving healthcare through tech at Dedalus, collaborating with diverse teams across Australia. Focused on configuration and optimization of clinical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • At the heart of the ORBIS EMR implementation, applying technical expertise to configure and optimize clinical systems.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Clinical SMEs, and healthcare clients to ensure ORBIS meets requirements.
  • Contribute to technical configuration workstream within the ORBIS EMR implementation program for the ANZ region.
  • Design, customize, and implement ORBIS system configurations such as templates, forms, workflows.
  • Apply scripting (JavaScript, SQL, Arden Syntax) and ORBIS-specific tools to define system logic and automate behaviors.
  • Ensure configuration governance with proper version control, documentation, and change management processes.
  • Support data migration activities through data mapping, validation routines, and bulk import processes.
  • Contribute to clinical safety and quality assurance ensuring all configurations align with patient safety goals.
  • Support DevOps and configuration automation practices to improve delivery efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in EMR/clinical system configuration or technical roles within healthcare technology.
  • Understanding of Australian digital health standards and interoperability frameworks.
  • Experience with form, report and dashboard development and deployment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and SQL scripting.
  • Experience working within hybrid delivery environments (e.g., Agile, DevOps, ITIL).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative and stakeholder-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to document and build configuration using a structured requirements template.
  • Experience with version control, release management, and configuration lifecycle tooling.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms, service bus architecture, and APIs in healthcare environments.
