Job Description
Tax Manager ensuring compliance and efficiency for financial operations at Asaas. Lead transformative tax strategies in a collaborative remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive oversight of Corporate Income Tax (IRPJ), Social Contribution on Net Profit (CSLL), PIS, COFINS and Service Tax (ISS), with a focus on financial operations and tax credits
- Lead the transition to the new tax system (CBS/IBS), emphasizing the specific regime for Financial Institutions
- Lead the tax function in preparing for an initial public offering, ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes–Oxley Act (SOX)
- Act as a strategic partner to Product, Treasury and New Business teams
- Support the maintenance and reporting of offshore tax structures
- Ensure alignment with Central Bank (BACEN) and Federal Revenue (Receita Federal) regulations
- Provide technical leadership on due diligence and tax modeling for strategic acquisitions
Requirements:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in taxation, with substantial experience at Financial Institutions or regulated payment companies
- Deep knowledge of proposed complementary tax bills and the specific nuances of the financial sector under the new consumption tax model
- Expertise in IOF (Tax on Financial Operations), withholding taxes, interest on equity (JCP), and applicable accounting standards (COSIF/IFRS)
- Knowledge of Acquiring and Card Issuer processes
- Familiarity with transfer pricing concepts and the tax dynamics of Cayman and U.S. structures
- Degree in Law or Accounting, with a postgraduate degree or MBA in a related field
- Proven experience managing and developing technical teams across multiple levels
