Job Description
Cloud Engineer optimizing cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, and automation for Highmark Health’s national insurance and healthcare network. Supporting reliable technical solutions and next-generation technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, code, test, and implement technical solutions
- Provide general production monitoring and support
- Meet defined scope, target dates, and budgets with minimal or no defects
- Collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions
- Monitor work against production schedules, provide progress updates, and report issues or technical difficulties to leadership
- Document technical processes and procedures
- Participate in technical reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Collaborate with architecture on solution design and implementation to ensure alignment with enterprise goals and standards
- Perform technical analysis and provide insights supporting decision-making across departments
- Stay current with relevant technologies and industry best practices
- Adopt, expand, maintain, and optimize cloud usage across the organization
- Engineer cloud solutions, automation builds, and related technologies
- Support next-generation cloud technologies and stay current with new cloud offerings
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing technical solutions, plus production support
- 3 years of technical problem-solving, solution implementation, and team/project collaboration experience
- 3 years of experience with basic computer science concepts and principles, common operating systems, and development languages/scripting
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or relevant experience and/or education determined by the company in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment
- Adaptability to diverse tasks and evolving organizational needs
- Analytical skills focused on detail and accuracy
- Interest and ability to learn other technologies as needed
- Comfort with a range of data tools and technologies and willingness to learn new skills
- Track record designing, implementing, and/or supporting large-scale technical solutions
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with technology platforms, application development tools, enterprise business processes, and software development life cycle
- Preferred: 5 years defining system architectures and evaluating technical feasibility trade-offs
- Preferred: 5 years designing or developing technology solutions in healthcare
- Preferred: 5 years with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their services
- Preferred: 5 years applying technical governance, quality, and technical security best practices
- Preferred: 5 years translating requirements, mockups, prototypes, or user stories into technical designs
- Preferred: 5 years producing fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable technical solutions

Benefits:
- Remote/work-at-home arrangement
- Base pay range of $79,300.00–$127,100.00 per year
- Travel requirement of 0%–25%
- No physical work site required
