Job Description
Technical Lead and Chief Security Architect securing Federal Government enterprise systems at PingWind. Leading architecture reviews, risk strategies, and modernization across cloud and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide senior technical leadership for enterprise security architecture and engineering efforts supporting a large Federal Government client
- Serve as technical authority for the design, assessment, modernization, and implementation of secure enterprise architectures
- Lead security architecture and design reviews throughout the system development lifecycle
- Analyze complex cybersecurity requirements and risks and develop architecture strategies and mitigations
- Conduct technical trade-off analyses considering security, risk, cost, schedule, performance, and mission objectives
- Guide architecture methodologies, tools, diagrams, processes, and technical documentation
- Provide architectural leadership across cloud, mobile, IoT, APIs, VR/XR, 5G, post-quantum cryptography, cryptography, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and other technologies
- Coordinate technical direction with program leadership, engineering teams, and Government stakeholders
- Collaborate with program and project leadership and multidisciplinary teams to align security architecture and engineering activities with mission, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity objectives
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required VA background investigation/suitability determination and system access
- Certification in one or more of PMP, IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, or Network Systems Communications Management
- Minimum of 15 years of Enterprise Security Architecture Information Security experience at a large company or Government agency similar in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD, or VA
- Experience leading enterprise security architecture and engineering in complex environments
- Expertise analyzing complex architecture requirements, risks, and emerging technologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain required VA suitability and system access
- Preferred: Chief Security Architect or equivalent Federal experience
- Preferred: Health IT architecture experience
- Preferred: Advanced enterprise/security architecture certification
