Job Description

UGC Video Editor creating short-form social videos and performance-driven ads for Scale Army’s marketing clients. Producing trend-led creative that drives engagement, conversions, and sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit engaging short-form videos for social media and paid advertising campaigns
  • Transform raw footage, UGC, product footage, and existing creative assets into compelling video content
  • Develop hooks, pacing, transitions, captions, and visual storytelling to capture audience attention
  • Adapt video content for different social media platforms, placements, and formats
  • Produce multiple creative variations for testing and optimization
  • Create UGC-style advertisements designed to generate engagement and conversions
  • Develop creative concepts based on target audiences, pain points, hooks, and offers
  • Edit video content for performance marketing and paid social campaigns
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align creative production with campaign objectives
  • Use performance data and feedback to improve future advertising creative
  • Research viral trends, formats, sounds, hooks, and emerging editing styles
  • Identify trends that can be adapted to brand content and advertising
  • Create simple graphic assets, text, graphics, animations, and other visual elements
  • Adapt creative assets for different advertising placements and formats
  • Deliver high-quality short-form videos consistently and on time
  • Maintain a pipeline of fresh, engaging, performance-driven video content

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong focus on short-form content
  • Demonstrated experience creating social media content and/or paid advertising creative
  • Experience producing UGC-style advertisements
  • Experience creating advertising content that contributed to sales is highly valued
  • Proficiency with professional video editing software
  • Ability to use graphic design tools to create supporting visual assets
  • Strong understanding of short-form video formats and platform requirements
  • Ability to produce polished video content efficiently and consistently at volume
  • Strong understanding of video hooks, pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
  • Ability to identify and adapt viral trends into engaging content
  • Understanding of engaging and conversion-focused advertising creative
  • Ability to develop multiple creative variations for testing
  • Ability to use performance data and feedback to improve creative effectiveness
  • Strong visual creativity and attention to detail
  • Interest in beauty, fashion, consumer brands, and digital culture
  • Commercial awareness of how video creative contributes to advertising performance and sales
  • Availability to work 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
