Job Description
VP of Engineering providing strategic direction and technical leadership at Hart, enhancing healthcare data management solutions. Overseeing software development lifecycle and engineering team performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for engineering department
- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle
- Define and execute the company's technical vision and long-term engineering strategy
- Build, manage, and develop a high-performing engineering team
- Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Implement and optimize agile development methodologies and best practices
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, processes, and quality controls
- Collaborate closely with other departments for seamless product integrations
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Establish key performance indicators to monitor engineering initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience (10+ years) in software engineering
- Strong background in developing and delivering complex, scalable, and reliable SaaS or PaaS applications
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies, agile practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Expertise in modern software languages, frameworks, and technologies, such as Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React, Angular, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with healthcare-related technologies is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
