Job Description
Web Application Developer creating and supporting applications for KVC, an organization serving children and families. Testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and documenting web solutions using JavaScript, APIs, databases, and frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Create and support mission-critical applications to track and report information to better serve children and families
- Evaluate and modify applications, including encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation
- Resolve problems associated with applications
- Detect, diagnose, and report related problems
- Engage in continuous learning
- Collaborate with developers, the Information Solutions team, and business leaders to add value through technology
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Serve as a role model for children and families and work with children, families, community partners, and colleagues according to KVC values
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- 0–4 years of related experience
- Experience with web-based development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with Web Services and APIs
- Relational database experience, such as SQL Server or MySQL
- Experience with NoSQL or unstructured databases, such as MongoDB, is a plus
- Some experience with frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
- Ability to sit, talk, hear, handle or feel, and occasionally stand, walk, stop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Required close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, plus ability to adjust focus
