Job Description
Web Developer designing and coding user-friendly websites for PatientFi, a healthcare financing company. Collaborate with teams to create visually appealing web experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using current best practices in web development
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including creating and modifying custom themes and plugins
- Translate visual concepts into functional, responsive, and accessible user interfaces
- Test, debug, and maintain existing web applications to ensure optimal performance, security, and uptime
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers
- Work cross-functionally with marketing and product teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and deliver solutions on time
- Create and maintain software documentation, including API references and system architectures
- Work directly with provider and customer marketing teams to gather requirements, translate feedback into actionable solutions, and maintain strong working relationships for providers and patients
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to operations and activities where appropriate
Requirements:
- Proven experience in web programming or web development
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Understanding of Git and collaborative workflows (e.g. Bitbucket)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Preferred: Highly proficient across leading CMS and website backend platforms including WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Shopify
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular) and/or back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, PHP)
- Familiarity with SQL and/or MongoDB databases
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
