Job Description
Workflow developer and tester building Go-based telecom inventory and provisioning systems for Webbing, a global data MVNO. Creating APIs, databases, integrations, and automated provisioning tests.
Responsibilities:
- Implement Temporal workflow activities in Go, including HSS adapter, PCRF adapter, and Inventory update
- Build and validate unit tests for workflow activities
- Build the Inventory Management Database with tables, indexes, and partitioning for 30M records
- Build bulk import tooling for CSV to ICCID/IMSI/MSISDN range ingestion
- Implement REST API endpoints for inventory allocation, reservation, release, and SIM-record queries
- Write integration tests covering workflows, mock network elements, and database assertions
- Support the Senior Developer on workflow development tasks through expected pair programming
- Develop an end-to-end test suite covering SIM activation through order closure
- Perform load and stress testing for peak-TPS provisioning across systems
- Integrate workflow and API tests into the CI pipeline
- Integrate HSS synchronization so IMSI allocation state is reflected in HSS
- Implement MNP hooks in the Inventory Database
- Support UAT by reproducing bugs, writing regression tests, and validating fixes
Requirements:
- 2–4 years backend software development in production environments
- Go or Java; primary development language is Go
- Java accepted with strong fundamentals and willingness to transition to Go
- REST API development experience
- PostgreSQL table design, indexes, queries, and query plans
- Unit and integration testing experience
- Git branching, pull requests, and code review participation
- Experience with event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis Pub/Sub
- Basic Kubernetes knowledge
- Ability to work under technical direction of a senior lead and execute quickly
- Fluent English
- Any workflow engine experience: Temporal, Camunda, Apache Airflow, or AWS Step Functions
- Telecom or BSS/OSS background
- Go testing, Testify, and mock framework experience
- Load testing tools such as k6, Locust, or JMeter
- Docker experience
- Event-sourced or append-only database pattern experience
- Temporal.io SDK experience
- Python for scripting, test tooling, or data processing
- Prometheus instrumentation knowledge
- Familiarity with Diameter, SS7, or SMPP
