Job Description
Staff or Senior Accountant at Jump responsible for managing the monthly close and accounting operations. Focusing on revenue, billing, and cash workflows in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Own the monthly close
- Lead and execute the monthly close process end-to-end
- Prepare journal entries and complete all balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain organized, audit-ready support documentation
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements
- Own revenue, billing, and cash workflows
- Manage billing and revenue recognition processes
- Reconcile Stripe activity, including cash and fee tracking
- Handle customer billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies directly and professionally
- Oversee AP / AR operations
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Oversee credit cards, reimbursements, and AP workflows through Ramp
- Maintain strong cash controls and reconciliation discipline
- Support audit and reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages
- Support the annual audit and provide required documentation
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and documentation standards
- Improve systems and processes
- Oversee QuickBooks, Stripe, and Ramp administration
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual work and increase control
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Ability to directly owner a full monthly close process
- Strong reconciliation skills and operational accounting discipline
- Experience in SaaS, marketplace, or platform-based environments preferred
