Job Description
Accountant managing full-cycle accounting for US-based clients at Howard Financial. Seeking detail-oriented candidates with US GAAP and QuickBooks expertise for remote role focused on financial accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of multiple clients, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation
- Conduct complex bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards across all reporting and documentation
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
- Collaborate with the Senior Controller to identify process improvements and automate workflows
- Provide clear and timely communication to clients regarding their financial health
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA or equivalent local certification is a plus)
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with US GAAP
- Minimum of 3–5 years in a similar accounting role, preferably working with US-based companies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (C1/C2 level)
- High level of autonomy, 'ownership' mentality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
