Job Description
Remote PMHNP prescribing psychiatric medications and coordinating treatment for Adjuvant Behavioral Health’s oncology-focused behavioral healthcare practice. Part-time role with flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Prescribe medication to patients to assist them in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making positive changes for psychiatric well-being
- Prepare and maintain required treatment records and reports to satisfy Joint Commission accreditation, insurance payers, and Adjuvant Behavioral Health Operations Manual requirements
- Evaluate clients’ physical or mental conditions based on review of client information
- Collaborate with staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans
- Refer patients, clients, or family members to ABH IOP, community resources, or specialists as necessary
- Modify treatment activities or approaches in response to changes in clients’ status
- Complete administrative documentation for every client, including intake notes, progress notes, lab orders, and e-prescribing documentation
- Coordinate prescriptive clinical services with Adjuvant’s clinical guidance
- Report to the ABH Supervising Psychiatrist
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited educational institution
- ANCC - Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP) certification
- Hold a valid DEA
- NP or APRN with PMHNP certification (Psych/Mental Cert) preferred
- Ability to provide prescriptive clinical services and psychiatric medication management
- Ability to prepare and maintain treatment records and reports for Joint Commission accreditation, insurance payers, and Adjuvant Behavioral Health operations requirements
- Ability to evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition based on client information
