Job Description
Remote PMHNP prescribing psychiatric medications and managing treatment documentation. Supporting Adjuvant Behavioral Health’s oncology-focused behavioral healthcare patients.
Responsibilities:
- Prescribe medication to patients to assist with dependencies, life adjustment, or psychiatric well-being
- Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports for Joint Commission accreditation, insurance payers, and Adjuvant Behavioral Health operations
- Evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition based on client information
- Collaborate with staff members on clinical assessments and treatment plans
- Refer patients, clients, or family members to ABH IOP, community resources, or specialists as necessary
- Modify treatment activities or approaches based on changes in clients’ status
- Complete administrative documentation for every client, including intake notes, progress notes, lab orders, and e-prescribing documentation
- Report to the ABH Supervising Psychiatrist
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited educational institution
- ANCC - Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP) certification
- Hold a valid DEA
- NP or APRN with PMHNP certification (Psych/Mental Cert) preferred
- Ability to prescribe medication to patients
- Ability to prepare and maintain treatment records and reports
- Ability to evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition based on client information
- Ability to collaborate with staff on clinical assessments and treatment plans
- Ability to refer patients, clients, or family members to appropriate resources or specialists
- Ability to modify treatment activities or approaches as clients’ status changes
- Ability to complete administrative documentation for every client
