Job Description
Analytics Engineer building scalable dbt and SQL models for Qonto’s European SME finance workspace. Partnering with Product, Growth, and Ops Finance analytics teams while migrating to Omni.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end the data models feeding Product, Growth, and Ops Finance analytics
- Design and ship scalable dbt models and tests
- Partner daily with Business Analysts across Product, Growth, and Ops Finance
- Understand stakeholder needs and push back on requests that trade long-term reliability for quick fixes
- Help migrate parts of the data stack to a more scalable setup, including the ongoing move to Omni and a real semantic layer
- Take projects from discovery through delivery and follow up on their real-world impact
- Use AI tools to accelerate documentation, testing, and modeling while retaining judgment over decisions
- Help shape Analytics Engineering standards and practices at Qonto
Requirements:
- Strong in dbt and SQL, especially dimensional modeling
- Experience shipping production-grade models used by other teams for dashboards
- Ability to challenge stakeholder requests that would hurt data quality while maintaining the relationship
- Ability to design models that remain reliable over time
- Experience using AI tools for modeling, documentation, or test generation
- Willingness to own projects end-to-end
- Senior profiles may help raise the team's standards
