Job Description
Analytics Engineer building reliable, governed supply datasets for ABOUT YOU’s fashion e-commerce platform. Developing Python/GCP pipelines and reusable analytics marts for pricing, planning, and inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of supply data and turn it into reliable, analysis-ready datasets
- Partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Supply stakeholders to establish a shared source of truth
- Identify overlapping data needs across forecasts, optimisation, and reporting
- Create reusable mart tables
- Simplify existing transformations to prevent duplicated downstream logic
- Build and monitor Python and GCP pipelines
- Document schemas, lineage, and data contracts
- Manage IAM roles, data-access boundaries, cost monitoring, performance tuning, and data validity checks
- Mentor junior analysts and improve SQL skills across the Supply team
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional analytics engineering experience (or similar)
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex CTEs, window functions, and query optimisation
- Strong Python skills for ETL and orchestration
- Hands-on experience with GCP, BigQuery, Git, and CI/CD
- Ability to analyse complex systems and design structured improvement plans
- Proactive ownership of platform health, monitoring, governance, and reliability
- Ability to balance long-term system design with immediate business value
- Ability to collaborate across teams to establish data contracts and align stakeholders
- Experience with dbt or Dagster is a plus
- Familiarity with AWS Batch, Lambda, and Step Functions is a plus
- Supply chain or logistics domain knowledge is a plus
- Exposure to data cataloging and data observability platforms is a plus
