Job Description

Apps Support Tech Lead Analyst at Citi providing critical business and technical support for Data Solutions applications. Collaborating with technology teams to ensure integration and system enhancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals
  • Identify and define necessary system enhancements
  • Analyze existing system logic, identify problems, and recommend and implement solutions
  • Provide expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of apps support
  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex, high impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems and industry standards; document requirements
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document Systems impacts and support requirements
  • Consider the implications of the application of technology to the current environment
  • Identify risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicate impact; propose risk mitigation options
  • Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts; allocate work
  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Directly impact the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services
  • Persuade and influence others through strong and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills

Requirements:

  • 10+ years Proven and practical experience of in a production support role managing enterprise-level applications
  • Demonstrated experience with SRE practices, including advanced monitoring, alerting, incident response, post-mortems, and driving automation for operational efficiency and system reliability
  • Deep expertise in Unix/Linux environments and advanced Shell scripting
  • Proficiency with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics) and log aggregation platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK)
  • Practical experience with containerization platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
  • Hands-on experience with relational (Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
  • Strong knowledge of messaging solutions (e.g., Tibco EMS, MQ, Kafka)
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Solid understanding of distributed application architecture, including networks, load balancers, storage, and authentication (AD/LDAP)
  • Working knowledge and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and principles
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, models, and tools, coupled with practical experience in leveraging AI-driven tools to support and optimize applications
  • Demonstrated leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and relationship-building abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to diverse technical and business audiences
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including experience leading or contributing to requirement gathering efforts for multiple large development projects, always maintaining a service-oriented approach.
