Job Description
Automation QA Program Manager integrating warehouse control systems with ERP inventory platforms. Leading end-to-end testing, defect management, executive reporting, and go-live readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a high-level, end-to-end test plan covering the full device flow from automation hardware/conveyance triggers through WCS logic to ERP receiving and put-away
- Own and manage the test cycle schedule, including test case development, environment and data readiness, defect triage, regression cycles, and UAT sign-off criteria
- Coordinate with automation/hardware teams, WCS product and engineering teams, ERP IT teams, and warehouse operations on test scope, dependencies, and readiness gates
- Ensure coverage of automation-to-WCS signals/events and WCS-to-ERP transactional integration, including inventory updates and serial number tracking
- Establish defect tracking and triage processes; identify, escalate, and drive resolution of blocking issues
- Maintain a go-live risk register
- Produce concise executive status reports covering test progress, defect burn-down, go-live readiness, and risks
- Define and track go-live entrance and exit criteria
- Support cutover planning and post-launch hypercare test validation
- Deliver a test strategy and plan, test cycle schedule and dashboard, defect/risk log, go-live readiness assessment, exit-criteria checklist, and weekly/bi-weekly executive reporting through go-live
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in test program management, QA leadership, or systems integration testing, ideally within supply chain, warehouse automation, or logistics environments
- Demonstrated experience testing systems that span WCS/WMS layers and ERP inventory systems
- Experience with warehouse automation go-lives, including conveyance systems, sortation, robotics, or similar physical automation integrated with software control layers
- Strong understanding of end-to-end test methodology: test strategy, test case design, UAT, regression, defect management, and readiness/exit criteria
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, operations, vendors, and IT without direct authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive/leadership audiences
- Comfortable working on-site in a warehouse/DCC operational environment in Nashville
- Preferred: experience with sortation/guidance systems such as put-to-light/sort-to-light or automated transport such as AMRs/robotics
