Job Description
AWS Engineer managing cloud infrastructure for government programs. Collaborating with diverse IT teams and ensuring network technology compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Help develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy.
- Be responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices and firewalls.
- Be responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.
- Plan ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
- Manage user accounts and assets, and assign and update security permissions on the network according to security policy.
- Provide support with escalated help desk requests.
- Have expert knowledge RHEL, Windows & other open source technologies.
- Perform typical system administrative activities.
- Review systems performance logs to identify anomalies and troubleshoot issues.
- Identify root cause and documenting troubleshooting steps to resolution.
- Support active directory/LDAP, certificate services, network communications, and group policy and security compliance.
- Provide Tier III support (problem/incident management).
- Work independently and in team settings to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables.
Requirements:
- BS degree + 5-7 Years, MS degree+ 3-5 years, PhD degree +2 years
- Expert knowledge of RHEL, Windows, Openshift/Kubernetes & other open-source technologies.
- Cloud Systems Administration experience.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government agency level clearance
- Experience collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill sets
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of AWS cloud technologies, experience using and deploying them
- Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment.
- Ability to produce concise and clear technical documentation.
