Job Description
Senior backend-focused full stack engineer building retail technology solutions for Zartis, a global AI transformation and technology consulting partner. Developing Kotlin services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Own, develop, and maintain backend services
- Implement API integrations
- Support frontend development tasks
- Contribute to infrastructure automation
- Write clean, tested code
- Actively participate in code reviews
- Collaborate closely in agile processes using Jira and Kanban
- Participate in on-call rotations
- Respond to incidents
- Drive proactive problem resolution
- Develop new technologies in a distributed team to solve real business problems for a retail project
Requirements:
- Several years of professional software development experience
- Strong backend expertise in Kotlin, Spring Boot, and MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Proven cloud infrastructure skills
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience ensuring high availability and reliability of production services using Kubernetes and AWS/EKS
- Excellent English communication skills (CEFR C1 level), both technical and interpersonal
- Open and collaborative mindset
- Flexibility in adapting to evolving requirements
- Nice to have: Data engineering experience bringing ML models and data science solutions to production
- Nice to have: E-commerce domain knowledge, including recommender systems, ranking, or information retrieval
- Nice to have: Experience with SOLR or other search engines such as Elasticsearch
