Job Description
Backend Developer specializing in Java and Spring Boot, focusing on cloud solutions at Zup Innovation. Collaborates on platform evolution and architecture modernization in a remote setting.
Responsibilities:
- Design and evolve backend architecture using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and best practices;
- Develop and maintain APIs and microservices, overseeing the full lifecycle from design to production operation on Oracle Cloud;
- Ensure the reliability of production solutions by managing logs, monitoring, alerts, and incident remediation;
- Act as the technical reference for the team, participating in architectural decisions, performing code reviews, and promoting best practices;
- Support the team in using Oracle Cloud, optimizing service usage, costs, and automations such as CI/CD and infrastructure as code (IaC);
- Collaborate with product and business teams, translating requirements into viable, sustainable, high-impact technical solutions;
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing appropriate tests, validations, and security controls.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in backend development with Java (11+) and Spring Boot;
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including database services, Kubernetes Engine, and serverless functions;
- Experience with automation and DevOps practices (CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Oracle DevOps), Docker, and Kubernetes;
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code, especially Terraform or OCI Resource Manager;
- Proficiency with version control using Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket);
- Good communication skills to discuss technical decisions with different audiences;
- Proactivity and ownership mindset, with a focus on quality, performance, and security.
