Job Description

Benefits and compensation manager overseeing GN’s US employee rewards programs. Leading benefits administration, leave programs, compliance, and North America compensation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight of US health, welfare, retirement, executive, time-off, wellbeing, and ancillary benefit programs
  • Lead benefits strategy, design, evaluation, administration, and compliance
  • Partner with P&C, Legal, Finance, Payroll, vendors, and Global Compensation & Rewards
  • Assess program performance, utilization, employee needs, and market benchmarks
  • Lead the US Benefit Committee and present benefit plan recommendations and cost-saving measures
  • Manage health and welfare carrier and vendor relationships
  • Develop budgets, perform data analysis, report on benefits, and monitor costs
  • Conduct benefits audits and comply with HSA/FSA, DCP, 401(k), pension, ACA, PCORI, and ARPA requirements
  • Develop and deliver benefit communications and oversee annual US enrollment activities
  • Counsel employees and advocate for employees requesting benefits information
  • Oversee and administer the full leave lifecycle, including ADA/accommodation and state/federal leaves
  • Track leave in Workday, ADP, and leave-vendor systems; communicate leave status with employees, P&C, and management
  • Reconcile and process monthly group health and welfare benefits
  • Support benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions/divestitures
  • Maintain compliance records and prepare required legal reports
  • Provide employee and P&C team support and mentorship
  • Implement compensation programs and provide North America market insights and recommendations
  • Analyze Mercer and other market compensation data
  • Support salary structures and annual compensation processes
  • Provide compensation analysis and guidance to business leaders and P&C partners
  • Execute total rewards initiatives and support job evaluation and compensation practices across North America

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources management (desired qualification)
  • 8+ years in Human Resources with a focus on employee benefits
  • 3+ years of compensation experience
  • High level of ownership, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Ability to build strong partnerships, influence decisions, and communicate complex subjects clearly
  • Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills
  • Strong creative thinking skills and ability to develop realistic solutions
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work with internal and external customers
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new technology
  • Occasional travel
  • Mostly desk/computer work, with some light lifting and bending
