Job Description

BI Developer designing and deploying data insight solutions for engaging client experiences at Verndale. Collaborating on innovative data architectures and analyzing complex datasets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and deploy dashboards, reports, and self-service BI solutions.
  • Partner with business users to translate requirements into KPIs, metrics, and data models.
  • Design and implement semantic data models to support scalability and extensibility.
  • Perform data profiling, validation, and exploratory analysis.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor report usage and performance, optimizing for query speed and usability.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance practices are embedded.
  • Contribute to documentation, training, and user enablement.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or related role.
  • Proficiency in SQL with experience working with relational databases and large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Strong data visualization skills that translate complex data into clear insights.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles (dimensional modeling, historical data management).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying data patterns and validating accuracy.
  • Comfort in requirement gathering and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with performance optimization (query tuning, aggregation strategies).
  • Effective communication skills able to explain technical trade-offs.
  • Experience using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) for dashboard prototyping.
